Our Founder.
As a former Clinical Director and one of the two founding Directors of The Employee Resilience Company (TERC) Amanda supported the supply of EAP, secondary tier mental health, training and consultancy services, to BHSF and Vivup within a model of NHS Clinical and Operational standards.
Amanda led TERC on the successful CQC standards service accreditation via the Royal College of Psychiatrists and The British Psychological Society’s APPTS accreditation scheme.
Working with APPTS to review other NHS and private sector organisations, Amanda has a strong belief in the sharing of best practice, reducing stigma and increasing access within mental health services.
TERC expanded over Amanda’s five years in post, to support over 2 million employees across the UK, including NHS, blue light services and large public sector organisations.
Prior to this, Amanda spent 9 years in clinical leadership roles within the NHS, with the last 4 years as Head of Health and Wellbeing for Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust (MCFT).
As a service and clinical lead for MCFT’s multidisciplinary Health and Wellbeing @ Work Service, this included EAP (supporting 45,000 NHS and private sector employees), Occupational Health and leading specialist MSK Physiotherapy teams, alongside her strategic role within the Trust.
A Psychotherapist and specialist EMDR and Brainspotting Trauma Therapist by background, Amanda is an experienced Mental Health England accredited Trainer, CBT Life Coach, qualified Trainer, Workplace Mediator and employee wellbeing subject matter expert and trained in ADHD assessment.
Amanda also sat within the Executive Board of EAPA (Employee Assistance Professionals Association) for over 15 years with 4 years as Board Secretary, writing regular articles for national press, professional journals, contributing to EAPA’s professional guidelines for clinicians and individuals working within the field of Employee Wellbeing.
An Honorary Associate of The University of Salford, and sitting on the Project Board of APPTS, Amanda has contributed to professional development, research and the wider health and wellbeing agenda.
In April 2023 Amanda was appointed to be the Chair of Healthwatch Manchester.
